      Sign-up, Create a studio, Invite others

      If you're eager to make music online using JackTrip, follow these simple steps to get started and create your own studio, where you can collaborate with others in real-time.

      Step 1: Sign-up

      1. Create a JackTrip account: Sign up on jacktrip.com

      2. Use an Existing Account: Click "Sign up with X" to use an existing account that you already have with Google, Microsoft or Apple.

      3. Or, Create a New Account: Enter your email address and create a password. Scroll down and click on "Sign up with Email."

      Step 2: Create a Studio

      1. Access Studio Creation: After signing up, click on the "Create Studio" button.

      2. Choose Server Location: Select a server location closest to your physical location for optimal latency.

      3. Name Your Studio: Give your studio a name, e.g., "My JackTrip Studio."

      4. Initiate Studio Creation: Click on "Create" to start setting up your studio.

      Step 3: Download the Desktop App (Optional, Recommended)

      1. Download the App: After creating your studio, you'll have the option to download the desktop app for the best performance.

      2. Install the App: Save the downloaded file and run the installation process.

      3. Link with Your Account: Open the installed JackTrip app, sign in using your credentials, and confirm the connection.

      Step 5: Join and Configure

      1. Join Your Studio: Click on the "Join" button to join your studio.

      2. Select Audio Devices: Choose your preferred input and output devices. Use wired headphones and an external microphone for the best audio quality.

      3. Test Your Setup: Verify your audio setup by playing a test tone and ensuring you can hear it clearly. Make sure the volume meter for your input device lights up when you speak and play music.

      4. Connect to Studio: Click "Connect" to join your studio and start collaborating with others.

      5. We highly recommend using a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for best audio quality and lowest latency.

      Step 4: Invite Others to Your Studio

      1. Generate Invitation Link: Inside the JackTrip app, click on the "Invite" button:

      2. Share the Invitation Link: Click on 'Copy' to automatically copy the invitation link to your clipboard. Share this link with your friends or collaborators. Note that you can also invite them using their email address.
