Did you know that you can add live backing tracks in JackTrip using the media player?
Want to jam along to backing tracks in JackTrip? Our media player allows you to do just that: Upload any FLAC, WAV, or MP3 audio file that you have on your computer, and play it back right inside of your JackTrip studio. JackTrip will automatically adjust playback for each person to account for their Internet latency, enabling everyone to hear each note at the same time!
Here's how easy it is:
Once connected to the studio in the Desktop App, click on the "Studio" menu button:
Next, select the "Tracks" tab, and simply drag&drop your desired backing tracks into the "All Tracks" list.
Once the file has been uploaded, simply hit the small "Play" icon to load it into the media player.
Then, you can hit Play/Stop, and even Drag&Drop the playhead to navigate to different sections of the audio file. Note that you can also change the volume of the backing track using the horizontal volume slider.
You can rename any uploaded backing tracks simply by clicking on the small pen icon on the right-hand side.
We hope that you enjoy using backing tracks inside of our Media Player.
