When running JackTrip at the same time with other apps that use sound, like Zoom, it is advised to disable "Exclusive Mode", which allows apps to have exclusive control of the Windows sound system.
Disabling 'Exclusive Mode' enables the Windows sound system to be used by multiple apps at the same time. For example, if Zoom is running and then JackTrip is launch, there will likely be a conflict with the sound system because Zoom has 'exclusive control.'
In order to disable Exclusive Mode:
1. Go to the Windows Sound Control Panel.
2. Select the audio device to give as non-exclusive control
3. Tap Properties (lower right)
4. Tap Advanced tab
5. Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
6. Click 'Apply'
7. Tap the "Recording" tab
8. Repeat #2-6
